After a number of years a kitchen takes on a dated appearance and functionality may also be an issue.  With the proliferation of task oriented appliances we often find older kitchens don’t accommodate storage needs, and frequently electrical supply will require upgrading.

Even purchasing a new refrigerator becomes an issue since the newer models are sized differently than older models, and a new one may not fit into the location of the fridge to be replaced.

We see modern homes are “open concept” around the kitchens while older homes have the kitchen in a separate room.  So in an effort to modernize, Busy Beaver Builders often removes partition walls when upgrading kitchen areas.  We open the kitchen to the dining area and/or the family room, to give the room better functionality and improve the look of the home.
