There is no charge for a consultation with Busy Beaver Builders.  At a first meeting we listen to what the objectives are, take measurements of the affected area(s), and determine if there is potential to work together.

After our meeting we take the information back to the office and formulate a plan of action.  We carefully formulate a materials list; determine labour costs; and determine whether a building permit is required to complete the project.  Often we use computer-assisted design to get a real life feel of what the changes will do to the affected area.  This is particularly important when adding, moving, and/or removing walls (such as when enlarging a kitchen or bathroom and finishing a basement or attic).

In our second meeting with the homeowner we have a plan of action necessary to achieve the objectives, and a cost associated with the action.  Our proposals are very thorough so as not to have “cost additions”.

If an agreement is reached on a course of action, and the price to be charged, we sign a contract and estimate a start date.  Once we start the project we endeavor to complete the home improvement project expeditiously, thoroughly, and with fit and finish beyond expectations.
